So many to choose from! I’m going to give the prize to the Resplendent Quetzal in the cloud forests of Honduras. The resplendent bit really is part of its name and for good reason too. This bird is bright green with reds, whites and black too. The male has an extravagant tail that can be almost two times the length of its body. Both the male and the female sit on the eggs, taking turns to keep them warm. The nests are always in old woodpecker holes. The male cannot fit in there with his tail so he has to fold it over its head so that it sticks out of the woodpecker hole. It use to make me smile every time

The strangest animal is the Australian echidna (spiny anteater) – it’s a mammal that lays eggs; it makes almost no sounds and it only poops once every two weeks. And young echidnas are called puggles – how cute is that?
The strangest place I have seen is probably the Galapagos Islands. They are essentially volcanic rocks sticking out from the sea, and yet there is so much life on them! Tortoises, sea lions, marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies, albatrosses… Absolutely unique wildlife.
