Question: how were animals first made?

Oo, that’s a tricky one. Animals weren’t really made, no in the same way we make a cake or a picture. The first life on earth was nearly 4 BILLION years ago…that’s so many years I can’t even imagine it. It was pretty different to plants and animals we see today…very very small and simple, but we know it was alive, because it made more copies of itself, like dogs make puppies. Every new copy was a little bit different to the one before, and over that long long time, eventually the copies got more and more interesting, until they looked like plants and animals we see today. No one really knows for sure how that first live thing came about, because it was so long ago.
